Week of Monday, February 18 through Friday, February 22

This week we will finish up our study of America's first steps toward empire and go to the brink of World War I. This week will also mark the beginning of the Spring term research project. If you have questions about the research project, or would like help coming up with topics, this would be a great week to conference!

Tuesday, February 19, 2013 (50 minutes)

Topic: Discussion of the reading.

Homework: Read AP&AN pp.614 (Asian Encounters)-615 (TR's World); 617 (Cuba and the Platt Amendment)-619 (Peacemaking in East Asia).

 

Wednesday, February 20, 2013 (45 minutes)

Topic: Everything you need to know about the Spring Term Paper.

Homework: Read pp.623-626  in AP&AN.

 

Thursday, February 21, 2013 (50 minutes)

Topic: Introduction to World War One

Homework:  Come back to school in March with a written list of three (3) possible topics for your research paper.
