Week of Monday, January 25 through Friday, January 29

This week we will begin our study of the post-Civil War period known as Reconstruction. When we finish this chapter we will have a test covering Chapters 14, 15 and 16. The test is now scheduled for Friday, January 29th.

Please note that your major research paper "Was slavery the cause of the Civil War--yes or no?" is due on Friday, February 5th.

Due: Your Antietam project.

Topic: Discussion of the reading.

Homework: Read AP&AN pp. 443-450 (Impeachment of President Johnson) .

 

Tuesday, January 26, 2010 (50 minutes)

Topic: Discussion of the reading.

Homework: Read AP & AN pp. 450-457 (Retreat from Reconstruction)

 

Wednesday, January 27, 2010 (45 minutes)

Topic: Discussion of the reading.

Homework: Read AP&AN pp. 457-462.

 

Thursday, January 28, 2010 (45 minutes)

Topic: Discussion of the reading

Homework: Study for test

 

Friday, January 29, 2010 (50 minutes)

Topic: Period long test on Ch. 14, 15, 16

Homework: This would be a good weekend to spend considerable time on your cause of the Civil War paper.
