Week of Monday, October 12 through Friday, October 16

This week we will continue to learn about the Constitution of the United States. At the end of the week you will learn about the first major paper of the year.

Monday, October 12, 2009 (40 min)

Topic: Discussion about Article I, Sections 7,8,9 and 10.

Homework: No Homework Tonight!

 

Tuesday, October 13, 2009 (50 min)

Topic: Discussion of Article II and Article III.

Homework: Read Article IV, V, VI and VII.

Wednesday, October 14, 2009 (40 min)-PSAT DAY

Topic: We will NOT have class today, due to the PSAT.

Homework: Read the Bill of Rights (Amendments 1-10)

Thursday, October 15, 2009 (45 min)

Topic: Discussion of Articles IV-VII.

Homework: Read the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa (preamble, Chapter 1 and Chapter 2)- http://www.info.gov.za/documents/constitution/1996/index.htm.

Friday, October 16, 2009 (40 min)

Topic: Introduction to the Constitutional Amendments research paper, and an introduction to the Kirby Library's resources.

Homework: By 11pm on Tuesday you will need to write a short essay on the class Ning. Details will be given in class today.
