Topic: Northwest Ordinances, Shays' Rebellion

Homework: Read AP&AN pp. 182 (From Crisis to Constitution)-184 (Virginia and New

Jersey Plans); also read Hamilton on Democracy .

 

Tuesday, October 9, 2012 (50 min)

Quiz: Of some sort on the reading.

Topic: Discussion of the reading and the Constitutional Convention.
Homework: Read materials handed out in class, pages 152,153 and 154-160 (up to the end of Article I).
 

Wednesday, October 10, 2012 (40 min)

Topic:United States Constitution (Article I) 
Homework: Read from the packet, pages 160-163.
 

Thursday, October 11, 2012 (45 min)

Topic:Finish Article I and start Article II
Homework: Read the packet pages 164-165 for tomorrow.  Read AP&AN pp. 183-186 (Opposition and Ratification) by Tuesday.

 

Friday, October 12, 2012 (45 min)

Topic: Constitution Article III and IV

Homework: Read over  Amendments 1-10 for Tuesday's class.  We will talk about them next week, and they will be the basis of a paper you will write soon. We will NOT talk about them on Tuesday, but it would help you to have a head start.
