Weekly Syllabus

Week of Monday, September 21 through Friday, September 25

During this week we will discuss the Revolutionary War. If all goes well, we will have our first test of the year a week from Tuesday (September 29th). The test will cover everything we have gone over since the start of school (Chapters 4-6, plus what we read in Chapter 3). This week might be a good time for your first conference session!

Monday, September 21, 2009 (45 min)

Topic: Discussion of the weekend's reading assignment. Intro to Declaration of Independence.

Homework: Read The Declaration of Independence (version will be handed out in class).

Tuesday, September 22, 2009 (45 min)

Topic: The Declaration of Independence.

Homework: Read AP&AN pp. 154-158 (The Struggle in the North).

Wednesday, September 23, 2009 (40 min)

Quiz: In class writing assignment about the Declaration of Independence.

Topic: Review of the reading.

Homework: Read AP&AN pp. 158-163 (Victory in the South).

Thursday, September 24, 2009 (45 min)

Topic: Discussion of the reading.

Homework: Read AP&AN pp.165 (Surrender at Yorktown )-167.

Friday, September 25, 2009 (50 min)
