Weekly Syllabus

Week of Monday, September 10 through Friday, September 14

This week, we will begin to look at the sequence of events which led to the outbreak of Revolution and the Declaration of Independence. We will also spend some time learning how to use the library for research purposes, while at the same time learning things about this year's Presidential candidates.

Monday, September 10, 2012 (40 min)

Homework: Read AP&AN pp. 123-125 (The Stamp Act Crisis).

Tuesday, September 11, 2012 (45 min)

Topic: Discussion of the reading

Homework: Read AP&AN pp. 125-130 (Resistance to the Townshend Acts).

Wednesday, September 13, 2012 (45 min)

Topic: Discussion of reading.

Homework: study for the quiz

Thursday, September 14, 2012 (50 min)

Quiz: On the material we have studied so far this week.

Topic: Introduction to the library's resources and description of our next group project.

Homework: AP&AN pp. 130-135.

Friday, September 15, 2012 (45 min)

Topic: Time in class to work on your group project.

Homework: Research your topic for the paper due on Wednesday.
