slavery in the American colonies, look at the
conflict between white colonists and Native
Americans, and learn a little bit about the role
America played in the wars and economy of Europe.

Topic: Slavery.
Discussion of reading.
Homework: Read AP&AN pp. 75 (Slaving
Voyages)-79 (Imperial Reorganization)
Wednesday, September
7, 2011 (45 minutes)
Topic: Group project related to the recent
reading.
Homework: Prepare for discussion tomorrow.You
and your groupmates should complete the questions
from the "Middle Passage Primary Documents
Questions" sheet. The individual essay is
due at the start of class on FRIDAY.
Thursday, September
8, 2011 (50 minutes)
Topic: More on the slave trade.
Culmination of group project.
Homework: Finish the indvidual essay about the
Middle Passage. It is due at the start of
class tomorrow. Read AP&AN
pp. 79 (Imperial Reorganization) -84.
This is due for Monday's class, but you
will also have a short essay to write this
weekend, so get a head start!
