The kids grow up...
It was 1967, the year of the Summer of Love. Sideburns were long, lovebeads were in fashion and a young couple met and fell in love. On August 11, 1968, Alan Lewis and Alice Lubin were married. And they knew that it was much more than a hunch, that this group must somehow form a family, and they decided to become the Lewis Bunch. Alan and Alice moved into their dream house in the suburbs and settled down to raise their children.
Bloke came first. He had the large ears some associate with one side of the family, and the warm, loving disposition that goes along with them. Ethan and Rebecca came soon after. The three went everywhere together, except for when Ethan and Rebecca went out to ride their pet hippopotamus. It wasn't long before people thought that Ethan and Rebecca looked a lot like the family's Revolutionary War forebears. Eventually the kids grew up (as kids do) and went to Hampshire College, where they thrived. It was at Hampshire that Ethan met Courtney, and they fell in love. The couple was married in 1994.
As the 1990's wore on, the family moved to different parts of the country, and traveled extensively. Rebecca even had an affair with a crowned head of Europe. But one thing that never wavered was Alan and Alice's love for each other and their family. In 1998, they celebrated their 30th Anniversary. Stay tuned for more updates, as they experience their next 30 years together and wait for those pants to come back in style...
