will be given a chapter of the Sports Economics book
(pages to be assigned in class). Please have
your section read by the start of class on Thursday.

1, 2012 (50 minutes)
Topic: Use
class time today to finish up your assignment from
the Sports Economics book.
Homework:Finish the reading as necessary.
Answer the questions assigned to you in class.

2, 2012 (35 minutes)
Topic: Discussion of the reading.
Homework: Research
information about labor stoppages for your sport in the
historical newspaper database as explained in class.
Friday, February 3, 2012 (45 min)
Topic:Time in class to
keep researching articles in the newspaper database.
Homework: No
homework. On Monday we will have more in-class
time to research. Next Tuesday you will give
an oral summary of what you've found. 2-3 page
paper due next Thursday.
