Week of Monday, January 9  through Friday, January 13

This week we will look more closely at how the issues of race, business, religion and world-wide fame intersected in American sports during the 1960's and 1970's by studying the life and times of Muhammad Ali. We will watch a documentary video series about Ali, and you will be expected to write a blog entry based on what you have seen.  Your blog post this week is due on SATURDAY night. 

Monday, January 9, 2012 (45 min)

Topic: Intro to the plan for the week.  Begin Ali documentary.

Homework: Read the article about the Ali-Terrell fight emailed to you today.  You should aim to have it finished by Wednesday.

 

Tuesday, January 10, 2012 (50 min)

Topic: More video.

Homework: Finish the article.  By now you should have been inspired to pick a topic to blog about.  Please run it past me by Wednesday.
