This week we will continue our study of the 1940's and 1950's focusing on some musical trends.

You'll be introduced to the blog writing component of the course this week, and will have some time to get started with that.

Monday, March 19, 2012 (40 min)

Topic:  Discussion of the blog writing (ongoing) project.

Homework: Finish the chapter summary assignment. It is due tonight at 11pm on the Ning. Read The Fifties pp. 456-471 ("Even as Sam Phillips was inventing himself...")

Tuesday, March 20, 2012 (50 min)

Topic: Discussion of the reading.

Homework: Read The Fifties pp. 471-486. Pick any three of your classmates' chapter summaries to read and submit feedback on their paper on the Ning.
