Week of Monday, November 9 through Friday, November 13


This week we will finish up our time together by looking at President Clinton's first term, and the Republican takeover of Congress in the 1994 election. I may be occupied by Jury Duty this week--stay tuned for further updates.


Monday, November 9, 2009 (40 min)

Topic: Work on your final projects. I will have jury duty today, so you are on your own. PLEASE CHECK IN WITH MRS. LEWIS AT THE LIBRARY and work there for the whole bell.

Tuesday, November 10, 2009 (50 min)IMPORTANT JURY DUTY UPDATE

Topic: The end of the Cold War and the New World Order. The Peace Dividend. The Election of 1992.
As of 3pm Monday I am still not on a jury. I will miss class again on Tuesday. Mr. Lawrence or Mrs. Lewis will cover the class today. No matter what I will be back on Wednesday.
Homework: Work on your final project.
 

Wednesday, November 11, 2009 (45 min)

Topic: Issues in the Clinton Presidency: personnel, domestic terrorism, interest-group politics, healthcare.

Topic:Special guest Mrs. Lewis will talk about identity politics through the 1970's and 1980's leading up to several key controversies during President Clinton's first term.

Friday, November 13, 2009 (45 min)

Topic: The Republican revolution of 1994

Homework: Work on your papers. They are due NO LATER THAN 11PM ON WEDNESDAY. Papers will be submitted on the Ning. Make sure that your paper has a bibliography listing all of the sources you consulted as well as footnotes.
