Week of Monday, October 10 through Friday, October 14

This week we will work on an extended project that will give you lots of background on the Vietnam War, culminating in a role play event at the end of the week.  You will need to do daily reading assignments to be fully prepared.

Monday, October 10, 2011 (45 minutes)

Topic: Intro to the week's assignment.  Election of 1964

Homework:You will get a packet today that will provide the information you need for the roleplay.  You need to have this read by Wednesday's class.

Tuesday, October 11, 2011 (45 minutes)

Topic: Gulf of Tonkin event and the escalation of the Vietnam War.

Homework:Read the packet handed out in class.

 

Wednesday, October 12, 2011 (40 minutes)

Topic: Discussion of the material

Homework: Prepare for roleplay.

 

Thursday, October 13, 2011 (45 minutes)

Topic: Vietnam and the credibility gap; the rise of the antiwar movement.

Homework:Prepare for roleplay.
