Wednesday, September 2, 2009 (50 minutes)Topic: Information about the databases, and how we will use our class forum. Discussion of the reading. Yalta, Postdam, and other background on the Cold War. Homework: Reading about President Truman and the beginning of the Cold War. For background purposes, you can consult the RED version of A People and a Nation (APAN-RED) pp. 760-761; 770-774. See me if you don't have a copy of this book. Thursday, September 3, 2009 (45 minutes)Topic: Discussion of the reading. Introduction to first writing assignment.
